Content Moderation

Review and manage user-flagged content reported as inappropriate on the platform

Users have the ability to flag content they find inappropriate. Platform admins can access and review these submitted reports.

Switch to Admin mode if needed Accessing Admin Features, and open Content Moderation on the left.

All submitted content reports are listed here, with unreviewed reports listed as Pending. Each report is listed with the reported user, a content snippet and report reason (configured in Custom Values), and number of reports. To take action, click View Report.

The View Report popup provides more detail, including the report reason. Enter a comment and set the status to On Hold or Reviewed. To edit or delete the content, click View Content

Clicking View Content opens a new tab where the content is located, and you can edit or delete it.

Reporting content does not hide or remove it — with one exception. Flagged content stays visible exactly as it was posted, no matter how many reports it receives, until an admin reviews the report and decides what to do.

The exception is Child Safety. Content reported for Child Safety is hidden immediately and stays hidden until an admin has reviewed it.

Child Safety is also the one report reason you can't rename or delete. Both the Apple App Store and Google Play require apps with user-generated content to offer a way to report child exploitation and endangerment, so removing or changing it would put your instance out of compliance and risk the app being rejected or removed from the stores. Every other report reason stays fully configurable. Learn how to configure report reasons
