Using SMTP Allow Listing to Prevent Emails From Being Marked as Spam
Help platform emails reach your users' inboxes by allow listing the CampusGroups sending servers and domains.
If your campus email server or spam filter doesn't recognize CampusGroups (CG) as a trusted sender, emails sent from the platform can be marked as spam, quarantined, or delayed. Allow listing the CG SMTP servers and sending domains helps these emails reach your users' inboxes.
Who can do this: Your campus IT team or email administrator. You make these changes in your own email server and spam filter settings, not in CampusGroups.
Allow list the SMTP server IP addresses
Add the following SMTP server IP addresses to the allow list in your email server and spam filter settings:
- 216.157.35.124
- 50.31.58.66
- 207.21.221.179
- 207.21.221.178
- 207.21.221.177
- 207.21.221.176
- 207.21.221.175
Remove rate limits for these IP addresses
Make sure no rate limits apply to the IP addresses listed above. Rate limits can delay large batches of emails sent from the platform.
Allow list the sending domains
Optionally, add the campusgroups.com domain as an allowed sender. This prevents emails sent from that domain from being quarantined.
If your campus uses a custom URL for CampusGroups, allow list your custom domain as well. The platform may also use it to send emails.
